The motorcycle division of the Aurora PD has been running BMW RT-P bikes for a few years. Recently they took delivery of BMWs newest authority model the R 1200 RT-P as shown.
BMW police motorcycles are currently used by more than 400 agencies throughout the United States, including the State of Washington, Oregon, California, Colorado, Arizona, New Mexico, Nevada, the LAPD and the Honolulu PD to name a few. The motorcycles have 6,000-mile service intervals and a 39-month/60,000-mile limited warranty.
