“Bear in camp!”

Poster: xcel (see this users gallery) That is what was yelled in the Anchorage city park campground as a large black bear made its way from campsite-to-campsite. When it came to my KLR™ it sniffed at the tank bag, then stood up and put its front paws on the gas tank and seat. The food I had kept in the tank bag was no longer inside but the smell remained. The bear did not know that putting 300-400 pounds of weight on the gas tank from the side stand side was not motorcycle proper. As he started to root around the tank bag with his nose the motorcycle flopped over on the right side with a dull thud. Undeterred, the bear climbed on the downed KLR and tore open the tank bag with claws and teeth. Finding nothing to eat inside, the bear jumped off the KLR, left water spoor on the rear wheel, and then moved to the next campsite.
