Poster: xcel (see this users gallery) Thirty years ago he rode to the neighboring Mull of Kintyre because of the famous Paul McCartney song (a fact he’s rather embarrassed about now) but this time they were on a tight schedule because the Scottish sporting event of the year – the Highland Games – was taking place on the shore of picturesque Loch Shiel. After experiencing the locals (wearing traditional kilts, feather hats, daggers and knee-length woolen socks) gathering to watch the professional strongmen participate in these trials of strength such as ‘tossing the caber’ and ‘throwing the hammer’, the next stop on the Scottish tour was the historic Eilean Donan Castle, surely one of the most beautiful in Scotland and seen in movies such as Highlander, Braveheart and James Bond’s The World Is Not Enough.
