Posted an MPGge Calculator Excel workbook in the Files section here:

Basically it uses the conversion factors that Google is using at Google.org. I tend to trust this stuff and the numbers match what I've found for the most part.

With it, you plug in google's figures for your state (to get their conversion factors). Then you can figure out what the MPGge (Miles Per Gallon Gasoline Equivenlance) for an EV or PHEV if you know it's Wh/Mile rating and or MPG for that Gas assist.

Houston Hybrid & Hypermilers Club (aka H³C)

Basic discussions about hybrids and techniques to maximize fuel efficiency (both hybrid and non-hybrid).

I'll have my ScanGauge (fuel consumption display) so we can hook it up to your car to see real-time fuel usage. It works on most cars made after 1995. One thing that helps is knowing your engine size (displacement). This is usually represented in liters, cubic centimeters or cubic inches. An example would be a Prius 1.5L 4cyl.
