Citrus Yellow Metallic 5-speed manual transmission, purchased 8-30-05 with a LMPG of 45.5 and ~55,000 miles, this car has Dunlop SP-2 non-LRR tires which give great traction and cornering compared to the original RE-92's, but the MPG hit (MUCH shorter glides) IMHO is not worth the comfort. I have since replaced the stock radio and speakers with a Pioneer MP3CD deck and a pair of 3-way speakers, soon to be 2 pair of speakers.
The car now has Mobil 0W-20 synthetic oil as the previous owner used (although he used it for COMPLETELY different reasons) and ~60 psi in the tires to compensate for the greater Rolling resistance.
For summer driving, comfort and interior protection the windows are tinted to 35% visible light (barely legal in WI) all the way around.
For winter driving (short commute, outdoor parking in WI) the car is equipped with a warm air intake + radiator block, as well as an Engine block heater ($84, installed).
To round out the additions to the car, all-season floor mats and universal fit seat covers complete my car. |
