Hi all.
Proud owner of a new 2008 smart Passion Coupé from the Pacific Northwest. We don't have the stellar gas mileage you folks have but we're pretty happy with the car nonetheless. Mileage has increased steadily since new and we've been over 40MPG since the third fill-up. (Last fill-up was 43.88).
Heard you all had a scanguage group buy so I thought I'd try to participate.

Welcome and congratulations on your purchase. I fell in love with the SMART while travelling in Europe. I'm hoping SMART will eventually bring a PHEV or diesel version of the SMART to the States.
Post some pictures if get a chance and keep us posted as to your progress.

___I really enjoyed the Smart when the chance to drive one was offered! I am sure you will love it for its ability to grab attention plus the large driver and passenger room! And who cannot put a smile on their face when they pull up to a congested city scape and find that one open space to park in because you can park in it like nothing else can

Welcome Dancote. Beautiful area there in Port Orchard. I lived there in a small rented cabin just off the main road by the inlet on the way to the shipyard. Really nice riding the powerlines down towards Tacoma. I envy your vistas!
Your Smart car is already turning good numbers, that's great. Imagine what some of the tips here can do for you. My car is rated at 35 highway. Last night, hypermiling as best as I'm able to this point, I turned an all time high of 46.1 MPG. I was stunned. I never expected such a number from my car. So, just my way of saying welcome, this site will really be useful. Real good crowd of people, and lots of real world driving experience.
