Jerk of The Day

...because every jerk thinks they are - Special!

Sighted by: Bailout
Vehicle: Ford Van
Place: Mount Rose Highway (Nevada SR 431) southbound
Date: March 25, 2008 at 8:05 am

This asshat thought it would be cute to produce the most high centered vehicle on the planet by lifting a mid-90's full-size Ford cargo van, tuning it to run way too rich, then driving it like a pissed off teenager.

He just had to pass me before the Mount Rose highway closed down to 2 lanes this morning. This meant I was stuck behind his odorous black-smoke-spewing monstrosity all the way over the mountain.

I reported him to the smog/emissions tattle tale phone line just as much out of spite as for a wish to see his highly mis-tuned vehicle forced into a tightly controlled emissions test.

Bravo! I had a late-eighties F-150 with a ridiculous lift kit tail me for two miles today- My mistake that he had his left turn signal on (as if to enter the turnpike interchange) and I merged onto Route 10. really pissed him off so he rode my bumper for a while (of course, his turn signal remained on the whole time.) Nice guy.

Re: Jerk of the Day for March 26, 2008

I met three jerks on the road today. The first was an old man in an old cadillac who decided I was coasting to a stop light too slowly and passed me in the turn lane approaching the line, only to swerve in front of me in time to slam on his brakes as the light turned green (ha!). Immediately following that was another light and the line of cars was pretty long. Since it was a downhill stretch of road I stopped 4 carlengths short of the caddy to keep my potential energy. The eletrical crew in the van behind me didn't like that so they passed me in THAT turn lane, all the while yelling profanities at me.

On the return trip I was pulling off from a red light slowly since there was another (longer) red light directly ahead when I got a horn from behind. The huge SUV behind me then swerved into the right lane, zoomed ahead of me, and cut directly in front of me (in a long line of cars). I simply changed to the right lane and coasted past him as he sat fuming

I'll never understand what the big rush is to get to a red light, but I deal with things like this every day so it must be me who has the problem

Twosheldons, Nah, we think you are OK. I had a trucker flashing his bright lights at me the other night (so close it was really blinding). My sin? driving slow in the right lane of a three lane highway. He could have passed, but he had much more fun trying to scare me.

I had a clown behind me this morning, flashing away because he didn't like me doing the speed limit.

Another clown drives home from work, the same time as me (we both work in the same place) and anytime he gets near, he's gotta show me he has way more testosterone, and blow past me, like I'm standing still. Every time he does that, I just laugh, and say, there goes another few Litres. Piss on him.

The last time one of my coworkers did that to me it was right in front of a Deputy and they got a ticket (74 MPH in a 55 zone and an improper lane change).
