Interesting article on microcars. In Japan, they are often known as keicars and about half the body and engine size of the Honda Insight. The Smart is one of the most famous microcars today - the Trabant famous as East Germans went to the West as the Berlin Wall came down.
There are not many microcars in the US - most are probably not even legal.
