Hit a new low on the courtesy scale...
This is ridiculous. Now I've been honked at and stared down for going 5mph over the speed limit and then daring to slow down for my left turn (and not even particularly early). I HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE living in Connecticut. Driving used to be enjoyable, but I DO NOT deal well with this kind of BS.

Just let it slide off and realize the person was clueless.

Or you could move to Pittsburgh. The only flack I have received was from a familiar looking guy in a black shirt with a white collar waving his rosary at me.

breathe in and breathe out.
I find jazz helps! Breathe, remember it takes two to start crap with someone else, don't be that 50%!!!!
Or think of it this way, "I PAY LESS GAS THAN HIM LOL! MORE BEER FOR ME"

Hi Brick:
___I use Enya’s - Watermark to tone the anxiety down a notch or two in my daily travels. Of course in a FE challenge, no radio/stereo but it was there if I needed it. Dan just had to endure my 4 letter expletives whenever we got slammed at a light or other such craziness
___Good Luck

Just for the record, Wayne's expletives are not limited to four letters.
He can be quite creative.

Re: Hit a new low on the courtesy scale...
Yeah, it really should be as simple as letting it all go. I think I need more practice at managing my frustration with humanity than I need practice at the driving technique. (Which means I need a whooole lot of practice with the anger thing because I still have a ways yet to go FE-wise.) The classical stations on XM did the trick on my really great segment a couple of weekends ago...can't remember why I turned the radio off between then and now. Ahh, well. There's always tomorrow.

Re: Hit a new low on the courtesy scale...
when a red light hits me i shake my hand out the window and wave it very violently, people around me thinks i'm nuts but they don't know the truth that's why :P
omg brick you got XM, i was about to shell the cash for that too but must resist spending money.... man if i had XM i would be tapping my steering wheel and dancing to every FAS I do.
As for stereo off, sometimse your car just wants to talk to you. I find it comforting that it still sounds the same the first day I got it, that's a good sign yes?

That is the BEST driving music I know of. Heavy traffic, rude drivers fade away and your car seems to float on its own.
When I have family/passengers I often turn off the radio and ask them to please shut up when I'm driving, even around town.
Except in (ahem) San Francisco. One of the first things we do when we drive there and get in range is tune into one of their many excellent classical stations. They have more than we do in L.A and better ones. There is something about the mist, vague outlines of bridges, the hills dotted with houses -- somehow there's always something perfect playing to go with the view.
