Week of December 10th - December 16th, 2007 (US Ave $3.00)
Happy Monday all!!
Back to the grind and I'm happy to report that my success yesterday was not short lived.
9F (0F windchill), 5mph headwind from the SSE, overcast:
- 46.7mpg for 22.4mi (Home to work)
The tank remains at 45.8mpg over 665.3mi with 1.5g left and the guess gauge shows 2 needle widths under 1/8th.
Now the question is whether I should chance going through tomorrow's commuting or just fill up after work today?

Re: Week of December 10th - December 16th, 2007 (US Ave $3.00)
I had a great ride this morning, owed mainly to a hypermiling F-150. Seriously! I guess driving a big vehicle takes the edge off of tailgaters because this guy was right on the money at 57-60mph (speed limit 60) in the right lane. He even pulled onto the ridge when some **** decided it would be fun to ride the guy's bumper for a few miles. So I followed him at a reasonable distance for the entire trip. Brought my tank up to 58.5mpg, which puts that trip somewhere in the mid 60s. Not bad for a Monday morning.

Definitely a Monday - 38F, heavy fog, left 20min late to catch more crack addict drivers - 72.8 or at least 25% FE than usual.

A balmy 59F this morning, with 69 MPG on the commute from my fiancee's house.

14°F for me on the way in. After talking with Sean over the weekend I'm happy to show him the time was not wasted. The still not calibrated SG showed me 45.2 mpg on the trip in this morning with a 4 mph crosswind.

Hey hey!! Nice work, Daox!! Was this the Paseo? That number can only go up when it gets warmer.

Good work Daox! There's more where that came from!
44 degrees in Texas.
64.2 mpg / 11.3 miles this morning! Wooo! That's a record for anything less than 68 degrees.
Tank's up to 54.8 / 270 and a couple marks above 1/2.

lackluster drive, nothing out of the ordinary.
59.4 into the lot

Well, I think it would matter on what you get going home today and what the weather is like tomorrow. I'm sure you could make it home and back to work tomorrow.. its just the trip back home that would be scary
To home and back to work would put you over 700 miles on the tank, maybe time for a small gas can in the back?
To all those of you that are posting temps in the low teens and single digits... I'm jealous. I'd love to get at least one good snow this year but for some reason were stuck on super warm temps here in NC. High of 74 today.

Hi,
I had the same decision. Chose to refill a little early since I have learned a bit about cold weather driving and car care. Not sure it was a good idea or no. But my first week in the cold was not so good.
I would really like to get to my 400 mile tank again.
I do have a big problem as I MIGHT end up parking at the airport on this tank. That won't do wonders. (Last time, and that was summer, I couldn't turn off light at stoplights for 15 minutes I think.)
Good luck on what you decide....
Respectable commute, but not great, 32 degrees, 41.3.
