Ian's wife Tiffany was the fantastic pastry cook.
I put up a reduced resolution copy of the MPG routemap that Nemystic, Hobbit and I devised.

The map is designed to be printed on B size 11X17 paper for ease of reading.
No one was into MPG competition, so the course was not used for that, but I believe we have introduced several concepts that others setting up a similar event may find useful.
Hobbit and Nemystic gave a few MPG training runs over the same course.
1. A MPG route should not be a navigation test as well, so we put a photo of each turn and an arrow to the turn on the main map. Getting lost should not be a factor.
2. Real world driving means that your speed should be reasonable, and should be a consideration in determining who is a better hypermiler. We drove the course and attempted to run it at near the speed limit for the roads. A time reference is included to help you to determine if you are driving at the correct average speed.
3. the route contains a mix of conditions from low speed flat secondary roads to hilly stretches of 45 MPH secondary highway. We considered a highway leg, but with the hilly terrain, figured we would save that for another Highway MPG route.
