Re: Hello

Hi Caffinedean:

___Welcome to CleanMPG.

___I am sure you have read some of the basics in the articles but if you haven’t read all the articles in the article forum or as they are linked on the far right side of the home page Even though there is not a HiHy specific article right now, we will help you and your HiHy move up to a reasonable level as fast as we can for all our sakes.

___Good Luck and I hope you are enjoying what we have to offer so far!

___Wayne

Re: Hello

Welcome! I can't think of anybody in particular who has really tried to push a HiHy for FE so it's really great to see you come on board. Care to post a few details about yourself and your driving environment? City vs. highway? How far you usually drive? What kind of climate?

And don't forget to ask plenty of questions. Nobody expects you to completely understand what we're talking about just from browsing through the forums. Good luck!

**Edit**
Don't mind my sig. I think he was pointing at a cartoon Benz.

Re: Hello

I think there are similiarities between the highlander and the escape as far as techniques go. Pravus Prime, DebieKatz, and GaryG are good resources for the escape and might be able to give good advice. Search for their posts to start.

Re: Hello

Welcome to CleanMPG caffinedean! As was mentioned before, there isn't anything specific to the HiHy, take a look at anything posted by DebbieKatz, PravusPrime, and GaryG. They drive the Ford Escape hybrid which is very similar to your vehicle and they are about the best on the planet for squeezing mpg out of their vehicles. Hopefully you'll learn enough put out some EPA crushing numbers in the very near future.
