After Hobbit's Sunday morning talk, there was an impromptu gathering in the hallway to talk about and play with the Prius drivetrain. Mike talked about the possibility of modifying it for use in an EV conversion. Here's a portion of that meeting.

Wow, great interview, Mike. It is obvious you've explained it a time or two before.

What's up with the videos in the CleanMPG gallery? The video I posted is a lot longer than 2 seconds, as are some of the others I'm sure.

Although not a single 2Mode or even the Volt mockup was to be seen at HF2007, GM did supply the Hybrid Bus. For what purpose, I am not really sure?

Each year, enthusiasts of hybrids and other "green" vehicles gather to swap information and view the latest technology at Hybridfest. Billed as "A Hybrid Electric Car Show and More," the event promotes awareness and understanding of hybrid electric automobiles and increased transportation efficiency.

Important issues such as climate change, air quality, and the need for sustainable transportation are addressed by car manufacturers, environmental groups and various vendors. The two-mode hybrid is considered the next step in hybrid evolution, because it has two electric motors. A two-mode Chevrolet Hybrid will be rolling out later this year.

Myths or not, vehicles that have traditional gas engines and electric motors are a growing trend. Although they currently account for only two percent of new cars sold today, that number is expected to quadruple in the next five years.
