Back From Vacation

Well we finally got back home from 23 days of camping along the coastal Redwoods all the way from SoCal to northwestern Oregon. After towing a 7000lb trailer with our 2003 Tahoe, the numbers are in.... Averaging about 60 MPH on the highway, we used 241.15 gallons (87octane) over 2488.7 miles which came to 10.29mpg... not bad considering the many mountains we climbed, several summits being over 4000 feet. So if anyone is ever planning to go north, let me know because my wife did an excellent job of picking the best campsites you could ever imagine in the middle of the tallest trees in the world!! Now its back to good ole Los Angeles, hoping to break that magic 50mpg....

Re: Back From Vacation

Hi 2Phasst:

___Sorry I missed this one … I would have loved to see the forests you encountered but the 10 mpg Tahoe pulling the travel trailer is what hurt me personally. I would have loved to see the family in your Saturn doing the tent thing every two or three days and hoteling it for the rest instead

___Good Luck

___Wayne
