Great article! Congrats to Jared and Debbie! Since I couldn't make it this year, I am going to do my best to enter the MPG Challenge next year and see if I can come somewhere close to Jerad. Good luck to both Jared and Debbie but, since Jared is a fellow Prius driver, KICK SOME BUT JARED!

Re: Hybridfest 2007: CleanMPG members Locutus and DebbieKatz highlighted.

Normally I leave work at 3:30PM, but today I stayed longer because I'd left early yesterday. As I was getting ready to go at 4PM, the phone rang. At first I wasn't going to answer, because I was technically "off the clock", but when no one else picked up (4 of us share the line), I decided to do the professional thing & I answered. To my great surprise, the call was for *me* (nobody ever calls me at work ).

Dan O'Donnell from WTMJ Radio had read this morning's article in the Wisconsin State Journal, & must have called the campus switchboard to reach me. He thought it would be "cool" to do a piece on hypermiling, & did I have some time to talk to him? So I told my ever-patient rider it would be just a little bit (she didn't mind, she thinks this is as much fun as I do ), & Mr. O'Donnell & I talked for about 15 minutes.

He said our conversation would be edited down to about 1 1/2min. & would be aired Friday morning between 5-8:30AM on WTMJ620's Wisconsin's Morning News. He said it would also be available on their website http://www.620wtmj.com/shows/directory/7823307.html
