Memorial Day Saturday - Olympic Peninsula

Averaged 47 MPG in my 2002 Prius Classic on Saturday, the best mileage I've gotten on a trip. Went about 310 miles, and the tank still showed 1/2 full (falsely, but it looked nice).

Drove from Tacoma, up to the tip of the Kitsap Peninsula (Cape Foulweather), then across to Crescent Lake (through Port Angeles). Took the Kingston Ferry to Edmonds, drove to White Center then back to Tacoma.

My son drove for most of the trip up to Discovery Bay, he tended to speed up & slow down so got a lot of coasting in.

Welcome to CleanMPG.

Prius drivers are showing up all over.

Here are two links geared towards Prius II, but some might still work on Prius I

Here's my $0.02 on Prius driving how-to.

Also check out Hobbit's page.
