Hyundai September 2012 Sales Up 15.3%
New Elantra production and trims allow it to lead all Hyundai sales last month.
Wayne Gerdes - CleanMPG - Oct. 2, 2012
2013 Hyundai Elantra GT - $18,395 to start and a 27/39 mpgUS city/highway rating.
We’ve compared it, we’ve reviewed it and we’ve even highlighted it piece by piece. And what did we find? It is one of if not the best looking and versatile values, within the hotly contested C-segment offerings.
A C-segment with the size of some D-segments, a fuel economy rating that is only a small percentage of what it is capable of, a stick that is as good as anything in the entire automotive universe, an exterior that easily outclasses everything this side of a luxury sports car and an interior that is not only comfortable but feature packed for a price that the average driver can afford.
Do I need to say more
Hyundai September Sales Results
Hyundai’s third quarter of 2012 saw the company’s automobile sales set multiple records including a record 60,025 sales for the month of September. Sales were up 15.3 percent for the month and up 10 percent for the first nine months of the year versus 2011.
The Sonata and Elantra continue to dominate the company’s sales mix with September sales of 17,332 and 18,305 vehicles sold respectively. On the consumer resale front, Hyundai’s fleet sales and mix remained relatively low at nine percent for the month and year-to-date, among the lowest in the industry. This will provide higher residuals to the benefit of current and future Hyundai owners everywhere.
Fuel Economy Matters
Hyundai achieved a corporate average fuel economy level of 37.4 (EPA estimated 28.3 MPG window label value) in September.

“With our improved inventory position driven by the addition of the third shift in September at our Alabama plant, we’re looking forward to higher dealer stock levels and strong sales results through year-end.”
