Honda September 2012 Sales Up 30.9%
All new Accord comes out of the blocks fighting for its share of the midsize market pie.
Wayne Gerdes - CleanMPG - Oct. 2, 2012
2013 Honda Accord – $21,680 to start while offering its owners a 27/36 mpgUS city/highway rating when equipped with the 2.4L and CVT.
The all-new ninth generation of Honda's midsize is better equipped and performing than any other model in the Accord's 37-year history.
The exterior length and wheelbase of the Accord Sedan was reduced dropping passenger and cargo volume from a class leading 106 cu. ft. to near class leading 103 cu. ft. of passenger volume.
For 2013, fuel economy was improved from near the bottom (27 mpgUS combined) to near the top (30 mpgUS combined) and only being bested by the highly regarded and more affordable 2013 Nissan Altima (31 mpgUS combined).
In addition to the conventionally powered 2.4L, an upcoming full hybrid version will arrive early next year.
Standard features on the new Accord include Bluetooth HandsFreeLink with audio streaming, USB/iPod integration, rear view camera and an audio/information screen and an Eco Assist driving system. As in previous EX-trim Accords, a choice of fabric or leather seating upholstery is available.
