New styling trends dominate the all-new Toyota. And diesel continues to be a dirty word in the Toyota vocabulary for some reason?

Toyota will use the Paris motor show to take the wraps off a renewed range of models for the European C-segment with the world debut of the new Auris hatch, Auris Tourer (Wagon), Verso MPV and upscale Yaris Trend.
New Auris
The new Auris reflects Toyota’s new focus on designing more appealing cars.
Featuring all-new exterior and interior, the new Auris maximizes the benefits of a lower frontal design and an overall height reduction of 2.2 in. providing Cd of 0.28.
The front of the new Auris highlights the new face of Toyota. It combines the company’s Under Priority grille design style with Keen Look headlamp and LED Daytime Running Light (DRL).
The new Auris Hybrid will be available with a number of drivetrains alongside the atkinsonized 1.8L hybrid including a 1.4d and 2.0d turbo diesel (the 2.0L could be that BMW?) and two gasoline engines, the 1.33 and 1.6L variants.
The hybrid is expected to launch alongside the rest of the Auris model lineup with Toyota expecting the hybrid to account for approximately one-third of all new Auris sales in Europe.
New Auris Touring Sports – The wagon
The new Toyota Auris Touring Sports wagon will be made available with a number of powertrains including a full hybrid powertrain along with gasoline and diesel engines.
New Verso
The new Verso is a showcase for the company’s European design and engineering capabilities. The new Verso features Toyota’s new design language, an improved interior,
a revised 2.0 D-4D engine with improved performance and lower CO2 emissions (this may be BMW’s 2.0L super diesel as well?), and enhanced driving dynamics and reduced NVH levels.
Yaris Trend
The new Yaris Trend is a simple trim upgrade from last year’s all-new Yaris release. Different exterior styling and model-specific interior finishes, textures and colors are said to attract a younger crowd although I have not seen it so I would be guessing as to its upscale or millennial based focus?
