2013 smart fortwo – Until it receives a more fuel efficient drivetrain and a more drivable Manumatic AT, it will be relegated to a very small niche product here in the US

1,594 smart fans from 27 countries came to Antwerp for the world's largest gathering smarts and set a new world record in the process with the longest ever smart parade. On Saturday August 25th, 1,114 smarts drove through the streets of Antwerp.

Since 2000 the gathering has drawn an ever-increasing number of smart enthusiasts from all over Europe. This year, smart times attendees were able to share their passion for the smart, talk to designers, tuners and experts, take part in outings and attend concerts held at the event.

The sporty smart contests to stunt shows and tours of the city on the new smart ebike proved to be very popular. Special highlights included not only the longest smart times parade but an opportunity to take test drives in the new smart fortwo and smart fortwo ed BEV.

Next year’s smart times will take place in Lucerne, Switzerland according to organizers.

2012 smart times – Antwerp Belgium

Care to count all of them

Wow neat! I would love to drive one of those little smart targa sports cars we don't have here in the NA.

Re: World’s longest “smart” Parade…

First time I ever noticed

Fuel consumption - mpg(Imperial)

Urban (cold) 85.6
Extra Urban 85.6
Combined 85.6

on the NEDC cycle with a 5 spd AMT

http://carfueldata.direct.gov.uk/sea...aspx?vid=28227

You may have to cut-n-paste the link twice to get it to work.

Oh man that would be sweet! I would mod it for sure! Put on a bigger turbo and run big boost only for when I want to have fun! Then drive it smart the rest of the time to get high MPGs!
