This past June, the Audi R8 E-tron took to the Nürburgring and turned a lap time of 8 minutes, 9 seconds.
This video is an eight-minute ode to technology. The car races around the track producing no noise except the sound of wind and tires.
Race driver Markus Winkelhock piloted the ground-breaking electric car in the video.
The Audi R8 E-tron has a lithium-ion battery power supply, and its electric engine produces 376 hp and a staggering 605 lb-ft of torque. The range is expected to be approximately 124 miles.
