Instead of penalizing speeders we should just install speed governors at the factory.. 55 baby!.. and then arm the drones with Hellfire missiles since a speeder has obviously broken the law and disabled the governor.

I went to one of those once. Let's just say that the drone operator probably is gonna have to review a lot of footage that's hard to look at  before they get to anything that could go online.
I'm pretty sure that they are already used for industrial espionage. Back in the day I knew engineers at Case New Holland that would hire a crop duster to film John Deere's proving grounds during Deere's field tests. Drones would have to simplify that.

I've been thinking of the reaction of drivers seeing a drone with missiles.

In the end our congress critters will do what the lobbyists want, not what their constituents want. (As they alway do. Taxpayers are the only group that don't have a lobbyist working on their behalf.)

The cops could all drive Priuses and radio-in the speeders instead of chasing them, think of the fuel savings  |

My predicted response on suspects seeing an approaching drone with missiles - they would flee, just like when the late Rodney King saw a helicopter during his memorable arrest.

Anything goes as long as it would be legal for a patrol car or policeman on foot. Like red light cameras these should be seen as making policing easierr not replacing police.
