Re: Caah Tahk Guys Getting Even Lazier - Retiring
I love these guys ! Who knew they were so old ? They always made me laugh and even helped some clueless and lonely listeners with their car problems. I will still sometimes listen to their "Best Of" show , but it won't be the same.
Thanks , Ray and Tom.

I guess it had to happen eventually, but it's a little sad. Car Talk is my single favorite thing on the radio. Come to think of it, I would rather listen to Car Talk than watch most things on TV too.

They have something like 1000 hrs of previously un-aired calls and banter on tape. They will be making new shows from this old tape for at least a couple more years.

Re: Caah Tahk Guys Getting Even Lazier - Retiring
I've enjoyed many hours of their show over the years. Perhaps the most memorable time was stranded on a sandbar off the SE GA coast as the tide went out. We didn't get off the sandbar for five hours, but their show occupied my mind for one of those hours.
