Still that same great Accent but with a few additions.

The 2012 Accent GS with the 6-speed MT with “Forever Marilyn” in downtown Chicago this past winter.
2013 Hyundai Accent – Pricing TBA. Same 138 HP 1.6L GDI, 30/40 mpgUS city/highway whether you choose the 6-speed AT or MT, remote keyless entry with panic feature, cloth door inserts and heated side mirrors are now standard on all trims.
One of our favorite value oriented B-Segment automobiles that is actually C-Segment sized is going to receive some niceties for the 2013 Model year. While they can be tough to find on Hyundai dealership lots, the all-new Accent is prepped for it second year of production by offering even more standard equipment and new class-above features to satisfy even the most astute entry level buyers.
Heated side mirrors, remote keyless entry and air conditioning are now standard on all 2013 Accent trims. Accent SE’s side mirrors have been upgraded with turn signal indicators for an extra level of safety. Buyers also will find an optional power sunroof on the Accent SE trim.
Our take? Look no further than the
Review of the 2012 Hyundai Accent to see how its size, features, performance, safety and value stack up against and best its competitors from one end of the B-Segment spectrum to the other.
Fuel Economy
The Accent combines a very low curb weight (2,396 pounds for the 4-door and 2,430 pounds for the 5-door hatch) with a powerful yet efficient 138 HP 1.6L GDI engine and a reasonably slick 0.30 and 0.31 Cd (sedan and hatch respectively) providing a “Best in Class” EPA rating of 30/40 mpgUS city/highway.
Safety
Hyundai’s Accent includes a long list of safety features including front, side and side curtain airbags, active front seat head restraints and a highly engineered high strength steel “Collision Load Dispersion” structure designed to move crash forces outside and around the passenger cell in case of the worst occurring.
Electronic Stability Control (ESC) along with Traction Control (TC) and a Vehicle Stability Management (VSM) system that provides handling assistance in slippery conditions or in sudden cornering scenarios all come to play to make the worst avoidable. VSM system can deliver up to six lb-ft. of counter-steering torque when required to assist the driver in maintaining control of the vehicle.
On the braking front, Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) featuring Electronic Brake Force Distribution (EBD) and Brake Assist (BA) is also standard.
Interior passenger and cargo volume
The 2012 and 2013 Hyundai Accent is classified by the EPA as a compact sedan and as noted in the review, has the same interior volume as a C-segment Focus! The Accent also has best-in-class front and rear shoulder room, and the five-door also has more cargo volume than most of its five-door competitors.

And just like the review, if the 2013 arrives with as close to 2012 pricing as I suspect, it will be the value choice in the B-Segment and one hell of a value it is. Hopefully dealership availability will improve as the year progresses as well.
