Re: Ford May 2012 Sales up 12.6%
And as with Hyundai, these figures are lower than they might be. Supply is not keeping up with demand.

Re: Ford May 2012 Sales up 12.6%
The pricing on the 2 seems reasonable considering the content and Mazda's excellent reputation , but the numbers (EPA,anyway) fail to impress. The Yaris and Fiesta have nicer numbers , and the Accent/Rio give a huge amount of bang-for-the-buck.The Sonic is an over-priced non-contender that only the flag-wavers will buy.
I really enjoyed my Mazda for the eight years I owned it , but I would not buy the current 2 until they catch up to (or beat) the efficiency of their competition.

As I understand it, Japan has had a SkyActiv-G Mazda2 for a few months now. I hope it makes it here before too long.

I agree. It apparently has less useable room than my old Mazda, and not much better fuel consumption. That doesn't seem like 30 years' progress. Not many Americans will tolerate a car that small unless it scores more impressive EPA numbers.
