2006 Civic Hybrid, odd engine codes
I have a 2006 Civic Hybrid with about 84000 on it. Last summer the engine light came on, and would turn off periodically when I braked to a stop. After about a week of this it came on and stayed on. There was nothing wrong with the car throughout.
The weather got very warm recently and the light started coming on and off again. I went in for my bi-annual oil change and got them to read the codes for me. However, I can't find these anywhere. They said they were:
C1818
C183A
I suspect the second is a typo, but in either event... Are there any codes that start with C? I looked for P1818 in the standards list and it clearly doesn't apply.

Re: 2006 Civic Hybrid, odd engine codes
C= chassis
1= manufacturer specific
8=transmission
That's all I have found so far.

Out of curiosity, where did you find these? I'm a little mystified where you turn.

Re: 2006 Civic Hybrid, odd engine codes
87 should be more than fine. No reason to spend more for the 89, your Civic should not need it.
