Nissan February 2012 Sales Up 15.5%
Altima sales easily breach 30,000 sold last month.
Wayne Gerdes - CleanMPG - March 1, 2012
2013 Nissan Altima reveal video in 8 seconds or less. Not much to reveal other than it includes a sleek exterior, appears to include a low wide stance and should make a splash once available to the public sometime this summer.
The current 2012 Nissan Altima Sedan continues to be Nissan’s best selling individual model. As Altima enters the beyond ancient sixth year of its fourth generation design, its reputation for quality and value place among the leaders in mid-size sedan sales and segment share. IN addition, rumoirs have I that incentives on this aging sedan are far beyond normal although I have not verified that through a visit to my local Nissan dealer directly.
For 2012, Altima Sedan is again available in three well-equipped models, the 2.5 CVT and 2.5 S CVT featuring a 175 HP 2.5L I4 and the 270 HP 3.5L V6 SR with a CVT 3. Enhancements for 2012 include a new Value Package and the continuation of last year’s Special Edition Package. Both are offered with Altima Sedan 2.5 S. In addition, a Dark Slate exterior color replaces the previous Metallic Slate.
Nissan February Sales
Nissan reported record February U.S. sales of 106,731 units versus 92,370 units a year earlier, marking an increase of 15.5 percent over last February’s total. Nissan sales increased 17.1 percent while sales of Infiniti vehicles increased 1.0 percent over the year ago period.
Nisan Highlights
Nissan posted a record February with 97,492 sales, an increase of 17.1 percent over the old record of 83,226 units set in 2011 with the Altima leading the way. The Altima set a new February sales record with 32,953 deliveries, up 58.4 percent over the prior year. And this is the old Altima too as this coming April, Nissan will unveil the all-new, fifth generation Altima at the New York International Auto Show. The 2013 Altima, which goes on sale this Summer, will surely be a small D-segment to contend with upon its release.
Infiniti Highlights
Infiniti G Sedan sales were up 7.2 percent to 4,334 deliveries in February.

Re: Nissan February 2012 Sales Up 15.5%
Hi All:
Nissan this morning released the second teaser vid of the all new Altima.
The all-new 2013 Altima sedan will be premiered at the New York Auto Show this coming April.
The all-new Altima is said to bring outstanding fuel economy, premium design inside and out, and driver-focused technologies to a midsize sedan.
This might be another we will simply have to take for a drive

Re: Nissan February 2012 Sales Up 15.5%
Doesn't really look different than the outgoing model. Maybe slightly more like an altima, but...nothing interesting. We'll see if their FE claims ring true.

Go Team Versa..
Wayne, you should do a full test of the Versa sedan in its lowest cost trim with the MT.. and see whats possible in fuel economy. Lots of distressed families want to know..

Hi All:
Regarding the Altima, here is Nissan's third vid prior to its launch in NY early next month.
The rear view offers a hint of the all-new Altima’s design, which according to Nissan will bring outstanding fuel economy, premium design inside and out, and driver-focused technologies to a midsize sedan.
