"The 62 mile bug" for 2k6 HCH2's has been fixed
At least I hope it's been fixed. My parts are on the way
Thanks go to kenny on GH.
If you have the 62 mile bug on your HCH2, call up the dealer and tell him you need Product Update 06-013 (tachometer gauge control module). This update is dated 3/24/06 which was only 5 days ago.

Sledge,
I wonder if there is a Vin # cutoff for HCH II's that are not affected by this "Bug" ?
I think my Vin # is 10075 Vehicle produced.
I have not seen anything that would seem to indicate that my HCH II has the "Bug".

There has been more than one thread on GH about the bug. Some people say they don't have it, so your wondering may be correct.

Hi Sledge:
___I am glad Honda came through on this given the numbers of HCH-II owners affected. This news has to be a huge relief for those that had the bug …
___Good Luck

Yes I have it. If it's a quick fix I'll do it soon. If I have to leave the car I'll wait till I can get my oil changed out at the same time & kill 2 birds.

Tarabell, according to the thread I got this info from, they said it's going to be a two hour repair time.
If I have a repair that lasts longer than an hour, I always ask for a loaner car. My dealer is pretty cool about giving people loaner vehicles. They don't hassle you about it. They just give it to you.

Confirmed!
Alster at GH who originally spread the news has just returned from the dealer and confirmed with a long road trip that the MPG data indeed no longer resets.
