Question 6k under the belt with HCH with a newbie question?

I have a 2006 HCH-II that I'm getting 50.1 mpg and still trying to learn the driving techniques to get better MPG.

I what to get a hybrid for the girlfriend and I know she will not learn the ways to "drive" a hybrid other than coasting to lights and stop signs and keep the RPM's under 2k. She drive about 65% hwy and 35% city.

My question is what is the easiest to "drive" hybrid on the market to get 50 mpg? The natural guess is the Prius. I'm looking at a 2010 or newer model?

Thanks to all for your input!

I would go for the Prius for your lady friend! G2 is a good choice if available. H

My wife just "drives". In the gen III, she gets much better than in the gen II.

I don't see the Prius 3 on the first page of mpg on Prius chat! All Prius 2. H

The Prius and HCH are the same: the Gen 3 is better for mindless drivers but the Gen 2 is better for hypermilers.
