Re: sig test
Is adjusting the miles driven to account for oversized tires acceptable etiquette, or cheating?
Checked the door sticker, its supposed to have 195/70/14, but has 215/70/14. Checked it on the highway today. Passed 6 milemarkers, truck counted 5.7 miles.

Re: sig test
Honor code on the tire size thing. Feel free to post it either way - odometer reading or adjusted for actual.

ok. thanks. I'll check it on the mile markers once more and make a note below the mpg display if I correct it for tire size.

22.4 mpg this tank, before correcting for tire size.
5 inches + of snow on the drive in to Jackson this morning
Also after reading the link in another thread I was accelerating quicker out of stops. Not full throttle or anything, just a bit faster.
Hard to tell exactly whats going on with no tach on this thing.
The coolant heater is helping the stalling when its cold. A manual choke or carb rebuild would probably do the trick too

Re: sig test
I also have no tach. It's a pain, for sure. I've driven this car long enough I've learned the gear/mph/rpm relationships and I can get by without one.
Good luck with the snow. I have no advice for you, but I know I'd make a mess of things if I tried driving up there.

Re: sig test
Got spoiled driving the tacoma for a few weeks. Back in the ranger today. 35-40 miles today, seems to coast farther with the 2 different tires on the back. The neighbor had 2 snow tires off their old ranger they gave me. They only ran them one season. Bought a used wheel and put the other on the spare.
