Wayne Gerdes - CleanMPG - Oct. 21, 2011

2012 Nissan LEAF BEV - $35,200 USD to start in the US and 73 miles AER (on the US EPA). $41,438 USD after the $7,972 USD Government incentive in the UK with a 109 mile range per the NEDC. Yes, it is the same car.

The Nissan LEAF five-door hatch picked up another award yesterday as it was voted Electric Vehicle of the Year at the 2011 GreenFleet Awards.

Sponsored by EDF Energy, the Nissan LEAF was judged as the best performing and most suitable electric vehicle in its class.

The 2012 Nissan LEAF arrives with climate control, Sat NAV, rear-view camera, Level 3 DC charging and top of the line smart-phone connectivity as standard equipment.

Barry Beeston, Nissan Motor GB's Fleet Sales Director:
Quote:
"A growing number of fleets are beginning to switch on to how Nissan LEAF can provide drivers with a good combination of everyday practicality and low whole life costs."
Nissan LEAF will be built at Sunderland plant from 2013.
