Regarding the next generation 2012 HCH-III, it will be equipped with the Fit/CR-Z 1.5L and provide 44 city mpgUS, 44 mpgUS highway and 44 mpgUS combined. I know not much detail but I have a few more things I can provide later today.

Thanks, Wayne. I'm not sure if I can ever recall seeing a car with the same official city and highway figures! I know the Prius has a slightly higher city number, but I guess that's the result of the electric-only capability. Sounds like the electrical assist will be boosted considerably in the new Civic.
