Last week, the 2011 International Car of the Year (ICOTY) Award winners were announced during Press Week preceding the North American International Auto Show in Detroit.
Sponsored by Bridgestone Tire Company, the ICOTY is presented to the car and truck that are deemed to make the strongest emotional connection with their owners.
Eligible vehicles have to be widely available and either new to the marketplace, redesigned, or significantly changed for the model year.
