Chevy Volt testing at the Tail of the Dragon today.
Today while driving on US 129 we saw a Volt blasting around the corners. I believe that they had two factory cars here today. I saw one going south then saw this one at the north end a few minutes later.
If they actually care about how fun this car is to drive on the country's best curvy road, count me in. I think it is going to be really good. It looks cool in person.
I have a video walk around that shows the interior but I don't have enough time to post it right now. Even the interior looked production ready.
This is a shot of the broken airdam. It is really low to the ground. If the final production car has them this low a lot of them will get broken like this one.

Hi EXPIOWA:
Thanks for the heads up and I cannot wait to see your vid's! I wonder if any of the drivers were throwing up in plastic bags after 10-minutes on the dragon
Tweeting your find in the wild now!
TIA
Wayne

Sort of like the first-gen Insight, where some of those underbody plastic panels get torn off in deep snow.
Actually, that looks like it may have just torn out a nylon rivet (I see a tab with a hole in it) and can be fixed for $1 and a minute of your time. In which case they've made those low-hanging parts fail gracefully, like the Insight's for the most part.

Here is a video of the car that was at the north end. I have loaded it at youtube as a private video. You will not find it by doing a search at youtube. I am only posting the link to it here. Please do not link it at other sites. I will try to post the video of the other car as it passes me on the Dragon.

This is the second video but the quality is very poor. I don't know why it was loaded so poorly when the first one was so clear. It's not all that great but it shows the second car passing us going the other direction.

Hi EXPIOWA:
The quality looks great to me?
By the way, were you visiting or did you have a meet up to drive the Dragon with some EXP guys?

Re: Chevy Volt testing at the Tail of the Dragon today.
My wife and I are on our 12th wedding anniversary trip. I wish that I could have met up with a group.
Apparently there may have been only one Volt testing. I just looked at the Killboy photos and found some showing the same car identification tag on the front with an undamaged airdam.
