Honda Fit sticker starts at $14,400.
Honda Fit sticker starts at $14,400 including dest.
Automotive News - Kathy Jackson - March 20, 2006
LOS ANGELES - The Honda Fit subcompact hatchback goes on sale April 20 at a base price of $14,400, including the $550 destination charge.
The Fit will be Hondas first B-segment car sold in this county and replaces the Civic as Hondas entry-level car. It competes against cars such as the Toyota Yaris and Scion lineup, Chevrolet Aveo and upcoming Nissan Versa.
The base Fit is equipped with a 109-hp, 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine with a five-speed manual transmission. Other standard equipment includes side-curtain airbags, anti-lock brakes and an audio system that works with iPod players.
A Fit sport model, with a rear spoiler, aero body kit, fog lights and 15-inch aluminum alloy wheels sells for $15,720 including destination.

Re: Honda Fit sticker starts at $14,400.
My middle daughter is getting her degree and leaving college this spring and needs a new car something awful. She really likes my Civic but just dosent have the money to purchase one. I showed her the little chevy and the up and coming fit and other sub compacts and she stated she wouldnt be caught dead in one. Shes a very thrifty young lady. So time will tell I guess at what or how her opinions will change verse's her money.

Way to expensive. Can't you get a base line civic for the same price?

I'm not going to lie, there's a small part of me that kinda likes it. That price isn't too bad as long as they keep the quality up. I will be keeping my Accord, thanks, but I expect these to sell pretty well as people begin to accept little cars again. I would love to see what kind of FE numbers a pro could get out of it.

Re: Honda Fit sticker starts at $14,400.
Hi All:
___I can state the Fit has a higher quality feel then the Yaris or Versa but not only does it receive what I consider poor FE, those prices are ridiculous! What was promised as a $12K - B-Class sized sub and what us FE enthusiasts had hoped was a > 47 mpg highway, is now a $14K + w/ an EPA 33/38 mpg rating, B-class sized sub. The Yaris or Corolla appears to be the better buy on paper. We shall see soon enough?
___Good Luck
___Wayne

I'd agree with brick, if the quality is good, it's fine with me

Re: Honda Fit sticker starts at $14,400.

Fit Sport - $19,480
quoted from a guy who works at honda in canada
Quote:

The Fit LX adds power mirrors and locks, 2 additional speakers (4 total), and air conditioning.
The Fit Sport adds 15" alloys, 200 Watt 6 speaker WMA/MP3 compatible audio system, remote entry, leather wrapped wheel, security system, body coloured rear roofline spoiler, crusie control, and foglights.
