Question Scanguage setup for Insight.

I will pick up my 2000 Insight next week and would like to have my Scanguage setup
as accurately as possible before starting using it.

So far i have setup what i know in advance + i programmed an Xguage for leanburn
using the instructions posted on this side.

What i still need to setup is:

SPEED % to match speed shown on GPS.
FILLUP %

and colour settings.

Anyone who can tell me the best starting point for these.

Is there any other Xguages that could be usefull for me to programme. ?

/ John

Re: Scanguage setup for Insight.

You have the same X-gauge that I have for lean burn. On an Insight 1 that is certainly one of your most important gauges because it allows you to learn how to trigger lean burn. As far as the speed % and the fillup % are concerned, I don't think you even need to deal with them. Just set each to 0% and forget them. Reason is that the SGII is wildly off target on MPG on a lean burn Insight. Apparently the designer didn't find a way to deal with lean burn effectively.

Congratulations on your new purchase. I'm sure you are going to love the Insight 1. The isn't a better car available to wring out FE. Take good care of the little gem, there aren't as many left as there once was.

Re: Scanguage setup for Insight.

If you decide to install a warm air mod or a radiator block I would use your Scan Gauge to monitor water and intake air temps.
