I love my klx, I ride it almost every day but the fuel economy averages 65mpg us how did you get the test bike up into triple digits?! Aftermarket mods?

Black magic. Wayne has some uncanny ability to do incredible FE with 250s. It must be the combination: when he reviews bigger bikes, all I can see is reasonable numbers. But give him a 250, and FE will go through the roof

Re: CleanMPG Reviews the 2010 Kawasaki KLX 250SF

Hi Toby:

No mods, just some really smart riding. You will be surprised what your KLX will provide with a little conservative riding techniques applied.

One of my favorite quarter liters in the form of the Kawasaki KLX250SF is no longer listed on the Kawasaki website for 2013? I do not know what that means but I will be making some calls in a few minutes and hopefully find out?

Re: CleanMPG Reviews the 2010 Kawasaki KLX 250SF

Hi All:

I just received confirmation from the Kawasaki media account personnel that the KLX250SF will not be offered for 2013 although that is not saying it will not come back as a 2014. The new 2013 Honda CRF250L at the price it is offered and standard equipment must have really put a scare into the quarter liter makers and even the KLX250S dual-sport could have trouble up against that monster? Unless of course we see $3,000 for new units out the door again?

It helps that Honda is selling motorcycles made in Thailand where the average ten-tear-old worker makes 14 cents a day. But still............ that CRF250L looks SWEET. It's on my desktop at work.

Some old-timers here LOVE to play around with carburetors. I hope I never have anther one in my garage. But I do remember that price on the KLX250SF , and I was tempted.
