Started on second attempt: Worry?

Had a little issue this morning coming back to the car from the gym. I get in and tried to start the car only to hear a loud mechanical thunk from the engine bay. The electronics came up and the car gave a groan then just died. As this happened the battery charge level went down to one - forced recall I'm guessing. Car started up on second attempt but with a heavy noisy start. Then it went right into charging while at idle.

I'm assuming the battery went into recalibrate mode as soon as I started. Anyone every experience this?

Some details:
Cold out, but not that cold. Temp info displayed 26 F an hour earlier
Car had been running fine prior at about 7 bars
Car had recalled the battery shortly after starting out last night. Then I assumed because it WAS cold! 14 F reading and the info display was slow to update
Car was fine on the way home, just a normal forced charge drive

Re: Started on second attempt: Worry?

I've haven't experienced that before and it would seriously cause me to worry, but I worry a lot.

Keep us informed if it continues...

Jess

That is weird. Too many funny things going on with the HCH11! My car has never done anything out of the ordinary. I would hate to have weird things like that going on with my car. Hal
