There is a guest that keeps reading this thread and has basically been reloading it constantly over the last few days. Does anyone know who might be doing this? I am going to remove their access shortly if no one knows who it is or why they are doing it. The only hint I have is the guest is from OK.

Hi Tom,
The activity in question should have stopped about the time I got home this morning. Caught one of the neighborhood kids ringing the doorbell and hiding in the bushes .
But hey, thanks for the bump .

Heh. It isn't much of a problem, but I just get paranoid when i see unusual activity.

There is a post at Priuschat with a graph that show the average speed from The Marathon.

I guess I never saw it there. Sorry about that. I thought this was new news since it was just posted to PC yesterday.

Re: The Insight Marathon 2006 -- World Record 2,254.4 miles on one tank of fuel.
There seems to be an unnatural interest in the (SPEED) of our DISTANCE record. Our goal was to go as far as we could go on a standard tank, which naturally includes an MPG component as well. When the goal is MPG, speed isn't important. When the goal is speed, MPG isn't important. The World land speed record is 763 MPH, do you know what there MPG was? Does it matter? Does it make there record more or less credible? Or is it just a curious side note or is it the ever present realities of speed. If you think about it that way, the two teams accidentally proved the same thing on the opposite ends of the envelope, that being high speed = high fuel consumption.....Louis
ps...there MPG was 0.04 or if my math is correct, 211 FPG (FEET Per Gallon).

Louis - you are right. The Insight Marathon set the new benchmark for FE on a stock production car. Eventually it will be broken, but the achievement is not dimished.

Last night while researching the LSR, it was interesting to note the long list of challengers to the record and how it kept creeping up faster and faster. I would be willing to defend our record with technique and technology, but I hope it is challenged and broken. I can't see anything but good coming from it......Louis

Tonkawa is in the news.
These cops must have been off duty when the event was going on.
