Cool (and depressing) video of unemployment

Amazing graphical video representation of changing unemployment by county in the U.S. from January 2007.

Like an infectious disease.

Except for Slope County, North Dakota. It seems to be holding steady. I bet they have been used to a tough living for a long time by looking at this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Slope_County,_North_Dakota

When you ain't got nothin' you ain't got nothin' to lose. I'm sure it's a beautiful place to raise a family and I'll bet it's a close community too! I am referring to material wealth, in this thread. - Dale

Re: Cool (and depressing) video of unemployment

Knowing this I've been pounding the market with advertising for the last year. I'm raising the bar this month and even more over the next two months. Many of my competitors are acting like the sheep they are. They are pulling in the reins and cutting back while I'm increasing my advertising budget.

Several of my biggest competitors are on the edge and I want their customers.

You see in Pittsburgh and Allegheny County the population is dropping between .5% and 1% per year. You want to grow, you have get your new customers from your competitors.

Those businesses that survived the 1930's did so because they never cut back on their marketing and advertising. Those that thought they could cut back on their advertising, most were not in business by 1946.
