Happy Thanksgiving Everyone and now for something completely different...

I hope everyone has a safe and Happy Thanksgiving this year.

Thanks to everyone here who makes this the great site that it is, Wayne Gerdes, all the Moderators and all the people that post really cool articles and replies.

I've learned more about saving money on a daily basis here on this site than anywhere else on the internet this past year.

I want to offer a consideration to all the people who have benefited from Wayne's vision and everyone's hard work in making this the "Absolute Best Site" to learn about hypermiling.

It takes a lot of time and I'm sure there has been a significant amount of money spent in making this site what it is. I want to donate the dollar value of 1 gallon of gas to www.cleanmpg.com as a way to say thanks for saving me many, many gallons these past 15 months and I thought that if we as a group of hypermilers were to all do this it would be a nice token of our appreciation to Wayne.

For me it is only $2.59, if anyone else feels like they could part with a couple dollars I'm sure it would add up to a nice bit of financial relief.

So my idea is to ask you all to send a single 1 gallon donation from now until Christmas and let's see what we can raise as a way to say "Thank you for all the hard work!"

Note your donation with "Thanks for all the hard work!" so it doesn't get mixed up with the bumper stickers and other donations.

Post your thoughts or participation if you wish, the more exposure the better.

I get to go first cause your still reading this. - Dale

My last tank I filled up cost me 2.499 for each gallon, but I figure, why not round it up to a nice even $3.00?

I donated. Great idea
