Roadtrip - Tampa to Chicago

This past week I got the opportunity to quiet a few family members who aren't real hip to hypermiling. My brother in law was moving from Tampa to Chicago and needed his 2000 Pontiac Grand Am moved. He claimed about 20-22mpg with mostly highway driving in Tampa, and I told him I thought I could pull 40mpg over the trip. Since I don't get many really long road trips over varying terrain, I took the challenge.

I had never driven the route or the car prior to the trip.

In total, it was 1226 miles and lots of fun...
