Summer bike rallies allow participants to fill up on Corn for charity

Progressive Insurance gives bikers nationwide the opportunity to support their local food banks through the “Corn for Kids” program.

BMW bikers taking a break... If you are riding to a rally this summer, grab an ear and support a great cause!

Mayfield Village, Ohio -- Motorcyclists now have an appetizing way to help their local communities. Over the next several months, America’s leading motorcycle insurer, Progressive, is giving away hot roasted corn on the cob at motorcycle rallies across the country for a suggested donation of $1 an ear.

The program, called “Corn for Kids,” benefits local Feeding America food banks to help feed needy children and their families and other charities such as Kids & Chrome in Sturgis, SD.

“Riders are a charitable bunch—in fact, we recently surveyed male riders and found that nearly half are involved in a charity or cause,” said Marcy Gray, long-time rider and a motorcycle product manager at Progressive. “We’re thrilled to help feed bikers’ desire to give back…and their bellies too.”

For more information, visit Progressive on Facebook.

Progressive’s “Corn for Kids” program will be held at the following rallies...

Re: Summer bike rallies allow participants to fill up on Corn for charity

Hi Harry:

___Who dat

___I sure would not mind visiting Sturgis on a bike but I have to wonder if there would be issues just driving though with the bike I would like to ride through the event vs. what most participants would want to see ridden through?

___In any case, Progressive is making big inroads into the Bike market and it’s the little things like corn for charity that make it worthwhile.

___Good Luck

___Wayne

Corn cob for the rider AND corn based biofuel for the ride, would be total win.

Using food for fuel is never a win.

A guy at work with a fairly new Moto Guzzi had it in the shop last week. Seems the ethanol caused a fuel line in the gas tank to swell up, and required a repair under warranty to sort out.
