MPG dropped by half.. Scangauge issue?

Overnight, my 1.3l Metro's fuel consumption has doubled with no apparent difference in any functions, engine noise or visible fuel tank gauge change.
For example, the idle GPH went from .20-.22 to .43-.45. The AVG MPG form 48-52MPG to 29-31MPG.
About 2 months ago, Scangauge was giving some other wacky results, much more efficency than before, 130MPG was not uncommon and idling at .15GPH and less. I unplugged it and reset it to "normal" readings.
Any ideas?

I would make sure you have the engine size and cut off set correctly first. Aside from that I don't know. Others here may be able to help you out more. Worst case scenario you can call Linear Logic. I have not called them myself (had no need to), but I do know that others here have been very happy with their service.

Thanks for the suggestions however I already checked and reset all those.
Maybe be I'll double post this in the Scangauge forum as well.

Unplugged the Scangauge from the OBDII connector for 3 hours and all is back to normal.
Go figure........
