Re: Week of June 22nd - June 28th (Nat Avg $2.70)

Actually, I was still driving.

Since Baby Cruiser is over at her grandmother's house today, I'll have to pick her up on the way home from work. That means I'm driving 'Lantrific today.

Hey, Andrew... knock knock!

72F, 6mph cross/headwind from the S, overcast and humid with wet roads:
  • 74.6mpg for 22.3mi (Home to work -- New PR! )
The tank is up to 51.9mpg over 740mi with the guess gauge showing 1 needle width over the E mark.

Re: Week of June 22nd - June 28th (Nat Avg $2.690)

I think I'm off to a great start today. The temperature is 72F and the wind is again calm. I'm up to 98.4 mpg for the day. I dropped the ball a bit on my new warm-up P & G technique or I would probably be over the century mark already. I certainly think 100+ is doable today unless we get the weather that's being forecast. Today would make 2 in a row at 100+ if it works out.

Re: Week of June 22nd - June 28th (Nat Avg $2.70)

terrible route choice. Starting from the bottom of a hill from a full stop is horrible...3 times on one trip is horrendous! I'll figure this one out soon enough.

6.9mi home to work @ 40.1mpg.

Filled up this morning. Yesterday totally shot the tank.

This morning the tank is now at a respectable 37.2.

Re: Week of June 22nd - June 28th (Nat Avg $2.70)

Well, I got my bike serviced, so I'm going to see some 45+ action soon. YAY! Although I'm anxious to finish out the tank in my Mustang just to see what kinds of results I got...

PS - this is post #666 for me. Mark of the Beast!!!

Re: Week of June 22nd - June 28th (Nat Avg $2.70)

That we did! Good work indeed!

I'm facing a little bit of unknown issue. In the last week my mileage has dropped and I can't figure out why. It feels like something is dragging, but a coast-down test is normal. I fought hard for this 74.6, when last week I nailed an 86.

Maybe it's just TOO D$@# HOT! We're forecast for a 100 today.

76.3 yesterday in rain/wind
55.1 to town
77.4 to home
60.9 for today in air as thick as a bucket of water and light breeze.
Tank at 64.8 with 654 miles to go

just waiting for the consistency to hit
