Sometimes, when I'm traveling at 10-15 mph, it might take an additional 1-2 times to successfully bump-start my car. My question is: is this bad for anything, perhaps the cat?
I am wondering why it is not starting.
Why do you think it is not starting at those speeds? not letting the clutch out long enough? or gear choice to high or low?
Smoothest bump starts for me are using a gear higher than what I would normally use to drive at a given speed. at 10-15 maybe 2nd gear. 1st for 10 and below.
The slower the car is going the quicker the clutch will need to be released.
