Friends wanted for Cedar Point / Green Drive Expo 2009 / Kings Island trip

I'm looking for a few friends that would want to go to Hybridfest / Green Drive Expo 2009 and go to Cedar Point and Kings Island.

Here is my plan. I want to leave to go to Cedar Point on July 15th. Spend the night at a hotel that night and head to the Wisconsin on the 16th. Spend the 17th-19th at Green Drive Expo and head to Cincinnati on the 20th. Spend the night and get up early on the 21st to spend the day at Kings Island. After that I would head back home.

My plan is that I can pick someone up along the way. You don't have to be going to the Green Drive Expo if you don't want to. We can just meet at CP and or KI if you like. The reason I'm asking is because going to an amusement park alone is no fun and I would like to have someone to ride with. Hobbit joined me last year at CP and we had lots of fun. I hope I can convince someone to join me this year.

I will tell you now that I'm a strict roller coaster rider. I will not ride anything else unless I have ridden all the coasters at the park and I just want to try something else.

I'm going to do what I did last year and that is I will monitor the weather. If it looks like it will rain on the days I have set to go the the parks I will cancel and head to the Green Drive Expo or head straight home. I will give the go / no go on the 12th for both park dates. I know this is short notice but I don't want to spend a whole day at the park not being able to ride the coasters.

The 15th is the only day I have set to go to CP but if needed I can reschedule the trip to KI between the 21st and 24th. If needed I could set a date for CP between the 21st and 24th but we will wait and see what the weather is like.

It would be great to get a bunch of people together before the parks open for a quick meet and greet. I can show off my special Prius if it would help you decide if you want to come!

This might be my last Hybridfest / Green Drive Expo so don't miss this opportunity to see my Prius in person!

So here are the dates I have saved.

July 15th - Day at Cedar Point
July 16th - Drive to Wisconsin
July 17th-19th - Green Drive Expo
July 20th - Drive to Cincinnati
July 21st - Day at Kings Island
July very late 21st head home or head home on the 22nd.

Sorry for the delayed reply. I dont know how I missed these replies.

I have been quite busy trying to find a house. As of right now I think I can still go on these trips even after I get a house. IF I get a house that is.

I actually requested my time off from work last year.

I haven't reserved any hotel rooms yet and wont until the Green Drive Expo registration is available.

Just another bump.

I still have plans to go to Cedar Point and Kings Island but since I will be moving into a new house with in the next month I don't know what my money situation will be like. I have all ready booked a room and registered for Hybridfest so I will be going to that. I will still keep everyone updated.

Hope some of you will decide to join me at the parks if everything goes as planned.

Bump

I think I will cancel my overnight stay on Monday and not go to Kings Island Tuesday. I think I will do this to save some money. Since Kings Island is about 1.5-2 hours from where I live I can drive up, spend the day riding and drive back all in one day. If anyone wants to go to kings Island with me on Thursday July 23rd just let me know and we can meet there. If no one wants to go I will just cancel my trip to this park.

To save more money I have decided to only go to Cedar Point if I can find someone that will go ride with me. Anyone want to plan on going to Cedar Point?

If it weren't for the fact that I'm planning Hybridfest Green Drive Expo, I would join you.
To me it sounds like and an incredible trip.

I sure hope someone takes you up on the offer!
