Unhappy Ricardo Montalban Has Gone to Fantasy Island

Ricardo Montalban, known to many as Mr. Roarke has left us for Fantasy Island. He was 88.

To me he was Khan Noonien Singh on Star Trek - those muscles were his...no steroids, but I still wonder about the Rod Stewart hair.

On topic, he was a spokesman for the Chrysler Cordoba in the 1970s.

Diabetis and injuries from falling off a horse took a toll later in his life.

RIP

You said that wrong he was "Khaaan!"

Remember that the Cordoba was the small Chrysler? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vIL3f...layer_embedded--look at that huge hood.

May he rest in soft, Corinthian leather.

Rest in Peace Ricardo Montalban.

Re: Ricardo Montalban Has Gone to Fantasy Island

Chrysler should have had Ricardo Montalban do ads for the Plymouth Reliant.
Anyone who knows why is a fellow Star Trek geek.

Re: Ricardo Montalban Has Gone to Fantasy Island

That is sad news. I think I saw every episode of Fantasy Island as a kid. I also remember him from the original Star Trek series and the movie.

Count me as one of the geeks Gairwyn.

Maybe they can be on the silver screen while we are waiting for this movie

Note: Kirk's driving is highly illogical

Thanks for this one Chuck! I think I may have to pencil that date(5/8/09) in on my to-do list.
