Love my garage!

I just had my car in my garage for the first time. It was broke for a while. So last night I plugged in my car. The temp outside over night was in the low teens. When I drove to work today I got 47MPG. My highest mpg in a long time. I also sealed the garage up and it made it nice an toasty. Just thought I'd share.

Happy Holidays

Re: Love my garage!

Nice job - I'm impressed (and jealous)! I too have the advantage of a block heater, but despite ~100 F starting coolant temp this morning, I still couldn't squeeze 40 mpg out of my commute (39.9). Without the block heater and with just a slight positive grade on the way home I only managed 29 mpg.

That's awesome. My garage is a blessing. It gets me out with an interior temperature which allows me to drive without heat until I get to a toasty coolant temp.

Re: Love my garage!

The thought of all that salt melting every night and refreeezing every day keeps my car out in the cold all winter.
