Just saw this, as I've been away for a few days.

Wayne - my sincere best wishes for a speedy - and full - recovery. I know it may be awhile before you see this, but just wanted to add my well wishes via the board.

Ouch, nothing hurts worse than back pain. Maybe someone could design a floating keyboard so you could type lying down?

This is when voice-activaed interfaces could come in handy....

Hi All,

I'm off today for the HVAC Systems to be installed. So I'm thinking a call to the W. Gerdes (Xcel) house to check on Him.

I'll do an "Update" if I get the time to call and get to talk/chat with {Wayne}.

More to come later I hope.

tiger

I kinda miss my Buddy here on CleanMPG

Arrow Re: Wayne (Xcel) Gerdes={UPDATE} 8:00 PM Tuesday 15, 2006

Hi Everyone:

I just hung up after talking to Wayne for awhile on the phone. Here is an update.

He went back to the Dr. today and they have him on Steroids and other Pain Meds. He is sleeping like 18 Hrs. a day now. He can only sit in a chair for like 2-3 minutes at a time. Without the Pain Meds he would be in Terrific Pain. Not Playing, I'm Serious. He will go back to the Dr. for X-Rays on his back this coming Monday. His disc in his back may be {Torn}. They cannot do anything at this point because he is to Messed up to go in and do a Repair or to actually find out what has happened. So X-Ray's Monday to hopefully give them the much needed info. to decide what needs to be done. This is kinda hard for even me to type, even though I was in Viet Nam once upon a time. However here goes, Wayne was down on all 4's crawling to his vehicle to drive his self to the Dr's appointment today. So talk about Pain. I don't see how he did it.

He will not be going to the Milwaukee meeting this Saturday per {My-Request}. I ask him if he would not go and take care of his self until he can get this situation resolved. Hopefully he will do as I "Begged" him to do and stay home. Hopefully !!!!!

As all of you that know Wayne already realize he is very concerned about CleanMPG and it's content without him being able to contribute. So if any of you members can add to the Threads or Post on CleanMPG I'm sure Wayne would very much appreciate it. In-fact I will go as far as saying I know he will.

As I talk with him I will be glad to Post here any Updates on his condition as I find them out. I think the next News will be after his X-Rays on Monday.

Terry

BTW, Several have sent PM's to Wayne. I think that for the present time I would ask that No-One sends him PM's until he gets back on his feet. If you knew him you would realize why I say this. He just needs to get through this and not worry about CleanMPG right now.
Thanks, Terry

Holy ****.

Um...Wayne, if you're reading this: GO BACK TO BED AND STAY THERE!!! Seriously. Nothing can stop CleanMPG except maybe the invention of the perpetual motion car. Nothing to worry about over here!

Tiger --

Thanks for your updates on Wayne's condition. It does sound *awful* , & I agree that he needs to be putting all his energy into getting better.

Please give him my good wishes next time you talk to him, & Mitten & Woolly-Willy are purring extra-hard for him.

Debbie,

You will get a kick out this page of one of my cats.

Believe me, the name fits with her attitude.
